Jane Quinn had a sweet shop and hairdressing salon. She married Jackie Monaghan who had a daughter Sheila Ann.

Patsy and Margaret Shaughnessy and family lived here.

Site beside entrance to Iggy’s was  previously owned by Sweeneys and was sold to Galway County Council.

Cannons Family Hotel: Michael and Mary Jane Cannon owned. Now developed into shops and offices by present owners

Iggy’s. Formerly owned by Sean and Carmel Torpey who ran a hardware, paint, wallpaper and fancy goods shop and bar. Previouslyowned by Leo Mahon and family, uncle of Mary Lavin, the well-known writer. Travel agent, wholesale, retail and fancy goods and picture framing.

Downtown Bar and Lounge: Previously owned by the Payne family, also the Ruane family and later Martin and Bridie Conroy and also Paddy Greene.Now divided into two properties. the Town cafe has replaced the Big Screen. The Bar and Downtown Lounge has been replaced by an Inian restaurant

Eircom Telephone yard: Previous owner Tom Ruane, plant hire, garage and workshop.

Noel Treacy: End of terrace two storey house. had his office there. This terrace of houses were once ownd by the Curran family.

Kathleen Corley: Two storey terraced house. She ran a B&B . The Gardai used to have accommodation there.

Jimmy Corley. Two storey terraced townhouse. Owned by Jimmy Corley, wife and daughter, Mary.

McGlades: Two storey terraced town house formerly owned by the McGlade family. Dónal Kennedy and wife Ena McGlade lived here also. Later owned by the Browne family.

Molloys Home. Jack and Mrs Molloy with their son, Paddy, and daughter, Mary, lived there. It is now changed into offices

The Flynn family: They moved from the home and business across the street.

Paddy and Kathleen Ryan. Previously owned by the Condron family and the Murphy family.

Newpark Hotel: Formerly owned by the Condron family and later owned by James and Breege Somers, merchants in Athenry. Later owned by Norman Farrell who operated it as the Western Hotel. Later again owned by Tim Collins who sold it to Mrs. A. Feeney who ran it as the New Park Hotel. Then operated by Louise Egan (nee Feeney and daughter of Mrs. A. Feeney. Now again under the management of Mrs A. Feeney (2017)
