Was first owned by P.J. Finnerty who operated a hardware business; The Arch Bar. John and Mrs Murphy bought it in 1950s. They ran a bar, grocery and wool buying business.

Patrick Duffy and wife lived there with their family: Sivie (priest), Eamom (rep with C & C), Mrs woods, Mrs Cunningham. 

Joan Murphy married Paddy Murphy (Vet) and had their wedding reception in the Railway Hotel, which was owned by Patrick Duffy.
