First Meeting of Athenry Community Council

The first meeting of the Athenry Community Council was held on Tuesday June 10, 1976 and it’s elected representatives served until December 1977.  

Elections

In January 1978 the following twenty eight area representatives were elected to serve a three-year term of office:-
