The annual Mass was held in glorious sunshine at Our Lady’s Well.
A great spread of all ages was present at the historic Marian Well that commemorates
Our Lady’s meeting with a soldier fleeing the first Battle of Athenry in 1249.

As this year marks the 800th anniversary of the foundation of the Dominican Order, the Mass was said by the Dominican priest and preacher, Fr. Terence Crotty, OP., (centre) and concelebrated by (l-r) Fr. John O’Gorman, Fr. Benny McHale C.C. and Fr, Brendan Kilcoyne P.P.

The Gathering for Mass
This year God’s faithful people walked the pilgrimage route from he 1916 Commemoration Garden. Other came by car, bicycle and bus.

Ministers of the Eucharist distributed Holy Communion

The Final Blessing was given by Fr. Crotty.
