Daniel Gill of Willow Woodworks, Kiltulla.

Willow Woodworks was established by Daniel Gill in Kiltulla, Co. Galway in 2002.  He creates quality hand-crafted furniture using traditional woodworking methods. The process used to make his furniture begins with sourcing the perfect timber and continues to the final stages in his traditional workshop.

Daniel specialises in the use of native Irish hardwoods such as Elm, Yew, Oak and Ash. He sources this timber in various locations around the country. The timber comes, predominantly, from trees that have fallen naturally due to storms or the passage of time. The timber is then milled locally and dried in the kilns at Native Hardwoods, Rahard, a business which is operated by Daniel on behalf of Athenry native, Eamon Madden.

     Custom made Kitchen

Each piece of furniture is designed by Daniel to suit individual styles and tastes and crafted to a consistently high standard. Daniel creates a wide range of furniture, from heirloom jewellery boxes to custom-fitted cabinets and kitchens. These custom-fitted cabinets are the ideal solution for those awkward sized alcoves around the home.

Crafted jewellery Box

Daniel believes in the importance of working on a one to one basis with all clients in order to ensure he has a thorough understanding of their needs and requirements. The traditional and time-honoured methods which are applied to the creation of his furniture ensure that each piece will stand the test of time. His passion for wood and its ability to be transformed into beautiful yet practical furniture is clearly evident in each piece.
